Why Roseanne Ford is fundraising for clean water

On June 2, I'm turning 42.

At first, I thought what I could do for myself for me only: a trip, a play, a new TV.

But then I found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.

So I'm not totally focused on what I want for my birthday anymore. In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday like never before. Yes, I decided no trip, Yes, I'm going to see the Lion King but I'm also thinking about someone beside myself.

I'm asking for $42.00 or what you can afford from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

My goal is to raise $200 by my birthday, June 2.
