Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

The first two years I hosted a campaign, I ran 5K a day for 90 days straight to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world. Why 5K a day? Because it seemed crazy enough to get people's attention.

Well, this year I'm upping the ante. I signed up to run a 50K trail race in Valencia, CA on March 25th. I've never run a marathon, let alone an ultra marathon.

I've been training for the last month, and the training will continue to get harder over the next three months leading up to the race.

Running 50K (31mi) seems impossible to me, but I'm excited to take on the challenge to raise awareness for charity: water, who is on a seemingly impossible mission to get clean water to everyone on the planet.
