The first step out of poverty for so many places on this earth begins with clean water. We can help!

Two years ago, you all helped me raise $5,051 for a water campaign. Today, that well has been built in a village in Cambodia and it will forever be a source of not only clean water, but happiness - to over 110 families.

Two years later, I introduce you to the Sahel region in West Africa. Where, during the hotter part of the year, the average temperature in the is more than 110 degrees.

For women there, not having access to clean water means hours of painful and exhausting work. Many of them walk miles each day just to reach the 100-year-old hole in the ground where they collect water. And they make that trip four or five times. Not only is that water contaminated and dirt-colored, but it has to be pulled up by hand, one bucket at a time. Receiving the water is often very dangerous for the women who retrieve it. Severe burns, cuts, and even falling into water holes are just a few of the things women of the Sahel region have to face.

But, with your help, we can change all of that! The best part is, Charity: Water will match any donation given - so it will be easier to reach our goal this time around!

We can bring solar powered pumps into communities and pipe water to tap stands right next to these women’s homes. We can bring time, energy and a better future to 100,000 people in Mali and Niger.

Just like last time - 100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects. And when those projects are finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
