Last year, I donated my birthday to charity: water to help bring clean drinking water to people in need and raised over $1,000. That money has since been pooled with those of other mycharity: water campaigns to help thousands of people in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia gain access to clean water. My campaign is changing the lives of 51 people forever.

So I've decided to do it again. I'm giving up my 24th birthday and asking for $24 donations to help fund the equipment, drilling process, and maintenance of a freshwater well. That's all it takes. Just $20 can give one person access to clean drinking water for 20 years!

The best part: every penny from every donation goes directly toward a water project. About 18 months after this campaign ends, charity: water will show us where and how every dollar we raised ended up helping in the field. We'll see GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities we've impacted.

charity: water is a fantastic organization that has already raised over $42 million and given over 2 million people in 19 countries a chance at a better, healthier life through access to clean water.The water crisis is huge, but it is solvable.
