785 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean and safe drinking water. Many live in isolated areas and are forced to walk for miles every day to collect water that is often dirty or contaminated.
Even worse, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water every day. Diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
That’s why for my birthday I am raising money for charity: water, an organization that’s working to end the water crisis.
