Today I am experiencing one of those “major” birthdays. One where you go “Ugh…”
So this year I want to celebrate my birthday differently. I don't want presents or drinks. I want clean water.

I’ve been thinking about this for a few years as a “cool” thing I want to accomplish in my life.

In fact I added this achievable goal to my Bucket List…and there it sat for a few years.
So on this day of celebration, the time is now.

I want to build a water well in a developing country. A place where a simple glass of clear, clean water is a rarity. There are still many places on Earth that have this basic need.

Ever since I saw a video about Scott Harrison, the founder of charity: water years ago, I’ve wanted to work with his organization and build a well in Africa, India or other continent with extraordinary need.

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when this project is complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. That will be an amazing birthday gift.
