For those of you not on Facebook...as most of you know I was born November 11th (which is the real reason why they celebrate Rememberance Day for you trivia buffs) and I've decided this year to try to raise $1000 to provide clean drinking water to Africa (on behalf of everyone born in or who knows someone born in November) I picked a bad month as all the "Movember" people are doing the cool mustache growing campaign, but I think we can all agree that I look pretty grungy on the best of times without trying to grow a stache.

I am copying an idea from Scott Harrison and am looking for people to donate to Charity Water.org to see if we can raise enough money to help a number of communities in Africa get clean water. Water is the most important resource on the planet and as many as a Billion people still do not have access to clean water. As the holiday season comes upon us and we start our annual gift giving, I thought I'd give people an alternative option where they can spend their money. I've donated $38 to start this off (as I'll be 38 this year).

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to back pack through Eastern and Southern Africa when I was younger, cooler, thinner and had more energy. It is by far my absolute favourite place in the entire world and anything I can do to help out is a bonus.
