I'm going to be doing something different this year for my Birthday. This organization called Charity Water provides a pretty special way to donate by means of people "Donating their Birthday." How it works is instead of giving me gifts or money, this campaign will serve as my proxy. It's essentially just a different way to give, although this way I get to use the social obligation of friends and family as leverage to help out some of the thirsty people in the world.
