My birthday is here (August 20th, 2013). I'm not usually excited about getting older, but this year I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. I don't believe in concentrating on what is wrong with the world to make a difference, I rather do good. And this year on my birthday, my wish is to make a dent on making the world a better place, even if it is for a few people.

Mi cumpleaños esta aquí (Agosto 20, 2013). Usualmente no estoy emocionada al respecto pero esta vez estoy agradecida de poder vivir un año mas en esta hermosa tierra, feliz y con salud. No creo en concentrarme en lo que esta mal con el mundo para hacer una diferencia, prefiero hacer BIEN. Y este año en mi cumpleaños, mi deseo es poder hacer un impacto en la misión de hacer el mundo un lugar mejor, aunque sea para unos pocos.

I'm asking for my age in dollars (or pesos, yen, bolivares, euro, ghanaian cedi, birr, francs) from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

Estoy pidiendo su ayuda con mi edad en dólares (o en pesos, bolivares, yen, euros, cedis, birr, francs) de todos los que conozco. Cada centavo del dinero que se junte ayudará a a facilitar proyectos de agua potable en países en desarrollo. Aun mejor, charity:water nos mostrará exactamente qué proyectos hemos ayudado con nuestro movimiento una vez que sean completados (alrededor de 18 meses).
