$35 = Food + Drinks + Music + FUN + CLEAN WATER for at least 2 villages in Orissa, India!!!!!

THE FACTS:

1.1 Billion People do not have access to safe drinking WATER.

Survival is possible for 3 weeks without food, but only 3 days without WATER.
Millions of women in developing nations walk 3 miles every day, carrying 80 pounds of WATER.

42,000 people will die this week from diseases related to the poor quality drinking WATER; 90% of them will be children under age 5.

Unsafe WATER and lack of basic sanitation causes 80% of all sickness on the planet.

A child dies from unsafe WATER every 19 seconds.

That’s more than all forms of violence, including war.

ACTION IS PARAMOUNT.

…continuing our efforts and desire to affect long lasting change for others without the most basic need – WATER; we are at it again WATER PARTY MIA 2013 will be held SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH , 2013 FROM 6:30PM-10:30PM AT THE COLLECTION IN CORAL GABLES.

We are setting our sights on raising over $10k in order to bring to life at least two Water Projects to benefit a few communities in Orissa, India via the non-profit charity:water.

The night will be a celebration filled with music, food from some of the MIA’s most remarkable restaurants, drinks, raffles, a silent auction and so much more; not to mention a united effort to bring clean, safe drinking water to those less fortunate.
