This campaign closed on Nov 17, 2013 Lex Wisniewski brought clean water to Nyarubungo 2.
It's happening. I'm turning 30. September 14.
This thing was started one September when a guy wanted to do something more with his 30th birthday. I've done a birthday campaign before, but now that I'm turning 30 it felt right to come back here.
I'm also in love with India. I found out after I signed up that the September campaign this year is focused on bringing clean water to people in Orissa state in India.
30 gifts of $30 for my 30th birthday will provide 45 people safe, clean drinking water for the rest of their lives. That's pretty cool. That's a birthday well-spent.
But it's about more than just water - watch the videos. It's about safety for women, education for girls, steady income for families, and social equality in a society that is still dominated by an illegal caste system.
- Safe water
- Improved infant mortality
- Increased opportunities for income in poor villages
- Better education for children, especially girls
- Safety for women
- Social equality
And one very happy 30th birthday. Wanna get in on this?

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
