This is a team fundraiser
3rd graders have spent much of their year learning about several issues people face around the world, most recently focusing on access to fresh, clean water. Now we will get to do something about it!
We are learning about an organization called charity: water. We will go on “virtual field trips” to Cambodia, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Rwanda, to learn how charity: water helps bring sustainable water sources to areas that lack access to clean, healthy drinking water. After researching the impact of this organization, we will be writing persuasive letters to encourage our friends and families to save lives by donating to our grade level fundraiser!
Last year, 3rd graders raised over $1,675! This money helped an estimated 41 people gain access to clean and sustainable water sources! Your children have big philanthropic hearts, and have been asking throughout this Module, “Why don’t people just help?!” Now they get to take action!
