About charity: water
charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to people around the world. We work with local partners to implement sustainable, community-owned water projects and prove each one with photos and GPS coordinates.
A private group of philanthropists cover our operating costs so that 100% of all public donations can directly fund clean water projects.

Good cause - clean water is clearly a crucial element in global well being - ironically I guess, the next most important thing is waste treatment - huge killer and cause of developmental deficiencies in crowded undeveloped country's cities.
