My birthday is on New Year's Eve (aka December 31st, 1998).
For as long as I can remember when I share this tidbit of information I've typically received the same response:
“Oh my god, your 21st birthday is going to be SO LEGENDARY….you’re going to have SO MUCH FUN”
So naturally. I’ve been pretty pumped for the past 20 years and I got to thinking….
What would be legendary?
And then one day, it hit me….70 People getting clean water.
Lemme just repeat that.
70 People getting clean water.
About two summers ago, I got the opportunity to hear Scott Harrison, the CEO of charity: water, speak at North Point Ministries. Scott, an ex-club promoter-turned-philanthropist, shared his testimony and spoke about the importance, and the pivotal impact that clean water has. Today, 663 million people live without clean water. That’s approximately 1 in every 10 people worldwide. Charity: water was created under the premise that everyone deserves clean water, and because it is a SOLVABLE PROBLEM. Charity: water is committed to solving the water crisis in addition to restoring
Therefore, for my 21st birthday, I am asking for donations to my charity: water campaign.
Here’s the kicker.
If I raise $2,100, I will not drink a SIP of alcohol on my 21st birthday….which (as stated above) is on a pretty ~ fun ~ evening…
I believe that giving 70 people clean water for the rest of their life is pretty legendary.
70 people would get the chance to spend more time with their precious families-witnessing them grow into successful and strong individuals. Women will get to spend more time focusing on their families, their education, and their careers. People would happier. Sicknesses will decrease. People’s lifespan will increase. Economies will blossom. Time will be given back. People will finally have access to one of the earth’s most valuable and essential resources, something that we often take for granted, but could literally change the lives of people.
Thank you in advance for your support and donations.
All the best,
Sarah Noelle Bhalla

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
