charity: water stories

The Slade family is at it again!

10 years of video holiday cards.
And a lifetime of impact.

If you’ve been following charity: water for a while, you are no doubt familiar with the hilarious and creative family who has been making video Christmas cards to raise money for clean water.

Since 2011, Micah, Whitney, and their four children have worked together every holiday season to deliver a memorable video to raise awareness about the water crisis and help bring clean water to more people in need.

And every year, they manage to out-do the year before.

No joke—they’ve driven cars off of cliffs, danced in massive bowls of hot chocolate, and constructed tiny homes. They’ve made music under water, hosted epic food fights, and canoed over waterfalls. They’ve somehow taken over entire airplanes… the list goes on and on.

But the most incredible part is the impact.

Over this decade of imaginative and playful storytelling, the Slade family has raised more than $55,000 for clean water. Enough to transform the lives and futures of more than 1,300 people around the world.

And while this year marks the 10th and final video in the series, it’s a perfect ending. And we want to share it here, along with each of the other videos, so that the memories can live on for years to come.

We’re going to start at the beginning, but when you reach the end, please consider leaving a donation and note on the Slade family’s 2020 campaign page to let them know what you think.

And to the Slade family —

We want to say what a privilege it has been to live out this past decade with you all. To get to witness your passion and generosity year after year. To eagerly await what kind of creative hilarity the next video might bring. And to watch your family grow. You have been an inspiration to our team every single year, and we'll never forget you or your impact.
