One way to make a big impact in the lives of those who do not have access to clean water is by contributing to organizations that build safe wells around the world. Charity:water uses 100% of donations from private campaigns to do just that.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I will start with $40 for my 40th and invite you to donate as much as you can, $4, $40 or $400. My late father-in-love was constantly inventing gadgets to help improve the water condition for those less fortunate. I was involved in one such project with him that unfortunately never took off, at least not while he was alive. It is heartening to me to see other organizations doing this work - and actually making a difference for thousands and soon millions of people. Will you join me?
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
All donations made to Thais’ campaign
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
Make your check payable to charity: water. Write the code below in the memo so we can track it to the correct campaign.
Then, drop your check in the mail! You'll receive an official tax receipt about 3 - 4 weeks after your check is processed.
