Water is something we take for granted, but many have limited access to it. With your help, we can change that
During the course of an Ironman triathlon, an athlete may consume more than 3 gallons of water (not counting the water they dump on their heads). Needless to say we take this for granted. We have availability to an abundance of clean water and fortunately never have to go thirsty.
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
On August 3rd, 2014, I will be racing Ironman Boulder in Colorado. For this race I am fundraising to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. After all, this is not a problem with supply - we have enough water on the planet to quench the thirst of every person. It is a problem with infrastructure.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
