Yes, we accepted our first bitcoin in 2014 and 569 BTC total before the inception of the Bitcoin Water Trust. Historically, direct crypto donations were immediately converted to fiat and used for clean water projects. If requested, donations were occasionally used to pay for operational costs.
Net of any transaction fees, we will use 100% of your remaining crypto donation to fund clean water projects.
We will not be able to refund crypto donations. Please take care before initiating your donation.
