Clean water means health, income and education - especially for women and kids. Make a difference in someone's life

This year I'm turning 32, so I'm really hoping I can get help to raise $320 for charity: water. Clean water isn't a given for everyone around the world. Hundreds of millions of people don't have clean water. They have to walk hours to collect dirty water, and the walk itself may be dangerous. Even when they get the water back to their family, it might be doing little more than killing them slowly. Women and young girls are often the ones sent to get the water, which means if clean water can be brought to a community it also increases the gender equality in that village. It frees up time for young girls to pursue an education or earn extra income. Water Committees are often the first chance for women to step into elected leadership roles.

100% of money donated to charity: water goes straight to water project costs (installing wells and sanitation stations). Which means every penny you donate, whether you can give a small amount or large, truly counts.

You can help change someone's future even if all you can give is $1. Together, we can raise money toward my goal-- and then my campaign will join with other campaigns until there's enough money to fund a project. Charity: water will keep me up to date as time passes about the status of the project, and in turn I'll relay that information to all my social media so you can keep up to date, too.

I donated my 30th birthday and together we raised $210, which went in with other campaigns to help create a piped water system - tap stand in Nepal. What you do matters. It may feel like one voice or one donation or one moment is meaningless in the greater scheme of the world, but it isn't. We can all come together to make an impact, and make a difference.

It matters to me, but even more importantly it will matter to the people whose lives will change the moment they no longer have to risk their lives or health for something the rest of the world takes for granted. Something that every human being needs to live, and something that not all humans can easily access. Something we can all work together to provide for our brothers and sisters around the world.
