Christmas is a time for family, celebration and love.

It’s also a time when America spends around $500 billion on Christmas gifts. That's more than $600 per person. This Christmas, Melvern and Quenemo United Methodist Churches are taking a step back! We are doing something different! We are taking up a Christmas Miracle Offering!

On Dec. 22 our churches with be celebrating Christmas by remember it's not our birthdays, but rather Jesus' birthday! We will give Jesus a birthday gift and birth a Christmas miracle.

The churches have voted to do this by donating to charity: water! With there resources and our donation we will birth the miracle of clean water this Christmas season. Our goals is to match dollar for dollar what we spent on Christmas gifts for our family and friends in our donation to charity: water.

We know that there are 800 million people living without clean drinking water on our planet. This Christmas season we will celebrate Jesus birth by caring for our brothers and sisters around the world. Our mission is to give clean water for Christmas this year. 100% of every dollar we raise will go directly to water projects. And when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the communities we've helped. Please join us in celebrate Jesus' birthday by donating.
