I just turned 40! Here is my wish: Raising some funds for kids who need access to clean water.

I just had my 40th birthday, surrounded by the love of my family and friends: I'm really thankful to have lived another happy and healthy year.

You all know that contributing to making this world a better place is important to me - and instead of receiving gifts - as I already have more than I need - I would be very happy if I could raise some funds for some people who really need it: I decided to choose the cause of access to clean water - which is a basic need that all of us should have. Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help contribute to this change.

I'm asking for half of my age in dollars from each of my friends, relatives and acquaintances. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, this Charity Water Project will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
