One Sunday in April at church we were introduced to charity water and the concept of giving up your birthday. That night we pledged to give up our Birthdays this year for a greater cause.

Our Birthdays are so close together that we decided it would be fun to combine our Birthday goals into one big goal! As Krista’s Birthday is November 26 and she will be 21 and Amy’s Birthday is December 28 and she will be 23, we met right in the middle and came up with the number 22.

We decided our “greater cause” would be Charity Water because it is a non-profit organization that helps to provide people living in third world countries with life’s most basic necessity; clean drinking water. We are so blessed to live in a country that does not worry if our drinking water is safe, much less if it is even accessible. We chose water because it is such a basic necessity. People aren’t just inconvenienced by not having clean water; they need it to live! Although we are not directly connected to these people in any way, it is easy to imagine the simple gift of clean water and the difference it would make in their lives.

God has blessed our lives so richly and abundantly. We are so excited about this campaign and the opportunity to give back.

Please help us reach our goal of $1000 dollars and provide clean drinking water to people in need.
