On September 3, I'm turning 27 and I have decided to do something different this year. I am giving up my birthday in hopes to bring access to clean, safe water to those who do not have it. I have really been impacted by this organization I recently heard about. Water really can make such a difference and it is hard for us to comprehend when we can turn on the faucet at any time we want to. The global impact charity: water has made in such a short time is so inspiring and encouraging. Many people have already been helped, yet there are so many more who are still without. I believe in what charity: water is doing and would like to further that impact with my birthday this year. I'm asking for $27 or whatever you can give-- every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. What is also great is that charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). We will actually be able to see the communities we've helped! My goal is to raise $2700, which would give clean water to 135 people or 27 families. It may seem a little crazy, but I figured...why not try and see what happens?! Please join me to make this birthday count!
