Dear friends,

As you know, I’ve been training for the past two months for the Glorious Goodwood Ladies Day charity horse race on August 1st. A little bonkers, yes, but it was a massive challenge and I’ve loved every minute! In conjunction with my new children’s books the “Me Me Mes”, I’ve partnered with charity: water to sponsor a children’s school in Ethiopia.

The Me Me Mes are a wonderful group of children’s books aimed at helping young children express and understand their individual feelings. Supporting the development of this special school is one little step towards improving wellbeing of these young children. This project allows the Me Me Mes to help children that have not had the blessings ours enjoy, to develop their lives with a positive and productive future.

I’ve spent the last two months in intensive training with my wonderful new friend and trainer Hayley Ann Moore at Cisswood Stables on the most loveable racehorse Mr. Fickle. A massive new challenge I know, but I was so excited to be racing, especially with my colours designed by the House of McQueen.

However, with the race only ten days away, I had a terrible accident last weekend and have broken my pelvis and back in three places. This sadly means I will be unable to race at Goodwood, although this will not stop me from racing again the moment I’m better, which will be soon!

However, the challenges I’m facing are nothing compared to the challenges faced daily by the women and children without access to clean drinking water. For me the most important thing, is that regardless of my accident and the disappointment of not being able to compete in the race, I am committed to raise the $22,000 required to build the Me Me Me school. In addition to the school, there are 15 wells needed for the town, which I hope over time we will be able to support. They are available now!

So, I’m asking for your help by giving your kind donations to complete this project with me. I will be taking the Me Me Mes to Ethiopia this coming October to see first-hand the life changing results building this school will achieve.
