This year I am turning 21; the legal drinking age in the US. I realized that there are many more people that lack clean drinking water. It's simply not right to be lacking a basic human necessity.
As people of luxury (and yes, YOU are one of those people) we need to be more aware of those that have barely enough to get by. We need to help out and show compassion to those for which unclean drinking water and bacterial diseases are a very real threat to life.
I encourage you to look around the mycharity: water website and see for yourself how much good you can do. How much your donation will help.
Do it because you want to give me a birthday gift. Do it because you have empathy. Do it because it will make you feel good about yourself. Do it because it's only sheer luck that you're not in their place. Do it because it is the human thing to do.
