My birthday is almost here. I'm not usually excited about getting older, but this year I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. I recently learned that 35% of the 11.689 million people who live in Rwanda lack clean water, and 19% of deaths in children under five are from diarrhea.

This year I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund tap stands in the Rulindo District of Rwanda. For $65 you can bring clean water to one person.

And the best part: charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll see GPS coordinates, photos and community information for the impact we've made.
