Today (9/26/2011), I'm turning 27.
And this year, I'm giving my birthday wishes and gifts to charity: water.
I was inspired in June of this year to stand with charity: water to raise money that will help people get this one major need - clean water.
charity: water is also celebrating their fifth birthday and this year, they want to accelerate their impact by purchasing a new drilling rig and the equipment it takes to dig more wells for villages and people in need.
So to help them, I'm asking for $27 from everyone I know. I have already raised $1,096 (9/26/2011) and my goal is $2,000. That's about 35 people that I hope will make this happen with me.100% of the money will fund the equipment to drill wells for people in northern Ethiopia.
Join me -- each drilling rig can help bring clean water to 80 new villages each year, and help 40,000 people get clean water.
