Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
I joined as a member and pledged $30 per month but to kick off my “Let’s All Drink Together” campaign I am donating $63 representing 63 days until my 63rd burthday! Please join me for a birthday drink by contributing the cost of your favorite adult beverage at your favorite drinking establishment and sharing this with others who you’d like to join us at a massive cyber cocktail/birthday party on September 30!!!
Are you exhausted by efforts by politicians, corporations, lobbyists, many media outlets, hostile foreign governments and hate groups not only working 24/7 to divide us into hostile warring factions??? I am. Do you feel like nothing you can do or say will make anything change? Exactly. But then I watched this video and I said, “Maybe just maybe I can do a little something!” I decided to sign up to me a monthly contributor to this incredible organization. If you know me well you know that I sometimes believe the Universe often sends you signals that something you have been thinking about is right and in this case after I put in a donation number, I got my signal. A messaged popped up and said:
You have 63 days to complete your donation!
What? 63 days from now is my 63rd birthday.
So I started a campaign and I’m calling it:
Let’s All Drink Together!!! I set a modest goal of 1,000,000! So to again quote Prior Walter the main character in Tony Kushner’s Angels in America in the final line of the play:You are fabulous creatures, each and every one. And I bless you: More Life. The Great Work Begins.
