Easter is a time when we remember the love that Christ has for us. He chose to die for our sins and was reborn so that we may have eternal life with God, our father. This is a time for family, celebration and love.

Isaiah 53: 3-5 tells us: "He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."

It’s also a time when America spends around $500 billion on gifts. That's more than $600 per person. This Easter, I'm taking a step back -- I want to give more than gifts that fit in boxes.

I want to give people life.

800 million people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond.
