Have you ever said, "I'm dying of thirst?" If so, I bet you didn't really mean it.

Many people think little about the importance and scarcity of water, since it's everywhere we go. When we're thirsty, we grab a bottle of water or fill a glass from the tap. When we're dirty, we hop into a nice warm shower. When our garden needs watering, when our pasta needs to be boiled, when you really have to go... taps (and toilets) are just an arm’s length away.

That's all fine and dandy for us, but in many developing countries, women and children must walk for hours, up and down mountains, to collect water that in many cases cause deadly illnesses in adults and children.
