This campaign closed on Dec 31, 2012 Carolyn Egerszegi brought clean water to Ngoma (Sector Office).
On September 26th, I am turning 40.
And again this year, I don't want presents or cards. I want clean water.
Last year for my birthday I aspired to raise $390 for charity: water and easily met my target. I was thrilled to raise money for a cause I believe in so much. My only regret was that I didn't set a bigger goal, so this year, I am trying to raise $1,000.
Women and children in Rwanda walk for hours every day, up and down mountains, just to collect water from rivers. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick.
Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it.
$1,000 can give clean water to 5 families in Rwanda.
So I'm asking everyone for my age in donations. Give $40 or $4 and help me give life's most basic need.
Please help me raise $1,000 so 5 families can have clean water, just like we enjoy every day.
The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects in the Rwanda, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.
I can't think of a better birthday gift. Please join me!
Thank you.
Love, Carolyn

The people of Rwanda are rewriting their story, and it starts with clean water for everyone. 100% of donations funded large-scale spring protection systems for communities here. Once complete we'll prove it using photos and GPS coordinates.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
