800 million people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond.
We have pledged to help fund a water project by Oct 20, 2013, in an effort to aid in alleviating suffering around the world in our own small way. We are also hoping to get friends and family to join us in raising more money to give greater amounts of people access to safe drinking water. Although we know this act and acts like it are a drop in the bucket of human suffering, we are hoping this campaign might make the world a better place for a few impoverished neighbors, now.
Our mission is to give clean water. 100% of every dollar We raise will go directly to water projects. And when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the communities we've helped. Please join us by donating.
