On March 22nd, I turned 27.
I'm roughly 1/4 of the way through my life. Pretty cool. But then a good friend brought to my attention...
That millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. Why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.
Last year, I had over 50 people post on my Facebook wall saying, "Happy Birthday." And currently, I have 923 Facebook friends. I realize a Facebook friend doesn't always translate in real life, but ONE THING I'M SURE OF: Every single one of my Facebook friends is capable of donating $2.
I'm just asking for 2 bucks from everyone I know - and if I can get half my friends to donate, together we can raise $1,000... clean water for 50 people who didn't have it before. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
$2 for my 27th birthday. It'll go a heck of a long way. You have until March 31 to donate. Please consider helping out.
Thank you.
Happy birthday, Dave!
Better late than never! :)

My birthday is on World Water Day. Coincidence? I think not.
