This year I'm turning 40 years old and even if you don't normally send me a gift, I'd like to encourage you to make a donation through my Charity: water fund raising site. (you can have one too)
To be a part of this effort to bring basic water services to people around the globe will really make my 40th birthday incredibly meaningful in a lasting and wonderful way.
Instead of asking for gifts or cards, I'm asking for donations to build freshwater wells for people in developing nations.

The occasion of the invite is marking my 40 fortunate years of a very comfortable life on this planet, but the donation would honor those we share this globe with who have not had an easy time of navigating nature's or government's shortcomings.

Here it is: A billion people in the world are living without clean water - but how much are they really living? Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families.

My birthday wish this year is to give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion living without it.
