22 would feel even better if everyone had access to clean water!
I don't know about you, but I'm soon to be feeling 22. I've had a pretty eventful (and at times, difficult) year leading up to this birthday but NONE of that even remotely compares to the struggle people face every day when they are confronted with the issue of unsafe drinking water. Living in Canada, access to clean, safe water is something I know that I am extremely privileged to have, which is why I've decided to use my birthday for good this year.
I'm asking for my age (22, if you were somehow unaware) in dollars from everyone I know. $22 is less than you'll spend on 5 Peppermint Mochas from Starbucks this holiday season, so use it for something productive instead! Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped, which I think is hella cool.
Help me reach my goal and MAYBE even surpass it! Please donate to my birthday campaign, as everyone should be able to experience the security of clean water that we take for granted every day.
Its yo birday!
Happy Birthday Em!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
