We reached our goal and we're back to the U.S. safe and sound!!! Thanks to all of you for your support. You helped to motivate us during some tiring treks!
Our campaign closes at the end of February, but feel free to donate on the main "charity: water" website if you miss the closeout date. Ever dollar donated will still go towards building wells for villages in need of clean and safe drinking water!
We look forward to reporting back to you in the upcoming months regarding the locations for the wells we all helped to build! We couldn't have done this without each and every one of you, so thanks!!!
TEAM MISSION:
Summit Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise $10,000; $1,000 per climbing day up the highest solitary peak in the world...19,344 feet! The $10,000 will build two wells for communities with toxic water. The majority of the wells are built on the African continent, where Mt. Kilimanjaro resides.
DID YOU KNOW?
There are one billion people on the planet who do not have clean water? This equates to 1 in 8 people in the world without access to the most basic of human needs. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Unfortunately, the majority of its victims are children.

It’s important to know 100% of donations go straight towards the direct project costs of building a well. This is accomplished by the donations of committed partners that have elected to cover administrative costs so that all other donations can go directly towards project costs.
PROVING IT:
Approximately 18 months after our campaign ends, exact GPS coordinates are posted. When used in conjunction with Google Earth, we can locate precisely where our wells have been built. Charity: Water also posts photos and videos of the communities impacted by our contributions, which we look forward to sharing with you!
