WATER. Clean water. I can pour out and drink clean water from a tap in my home at any time when I’m thirsty and I know it is safe to drink. I can just turn on a tap to fill up my dog’s water bowl, have a shower and flush the toilet, plus so many other things. So easy. So simple.

This is not so for millions of other families in the rest of the world. It is mostly women and children who spend hours every day walking long distances to collect DIRTY water in containers for their families to drink and wash in. The dirty water is full of DISEASES but it is the only water they have access to.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

EVERYONE should have access to clean water and proper toilets. Can you imagine yourself spending all day walking to get water and that what you carry home is all that you get for you and your family for that day? It’s not much, it’s hard work and it's dirty water.

We can ALL help. I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I am asking that the next time you go to buy your morning coffee, think instead of how the cost of that one cup of coffee could go towards someone else having CLEAN water for the rest of their life. Maybe think about donating the cost of coffee for one week, a month or even a year. If many of us give a little, we can make a huge difference to many.
