There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. My birthday wish is to change that.

Since I found out about charity: water about five years ago, I've always wanted to pledge my birthday and start a campaign. Now, I'm finally doing it. My 19th birthday is around the corner and while I'm not particularly excited about getting older this year, I'm extremely thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their 5th birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Even if you can't donate $19, any amount will be much appreciated. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

Please help me reach my starting goal of $190 and thank you in advance!

**EDIT (4/7/14): -- Thank you to all who have donated so far! I'm only on Day 2 of my campaign and I still have 84 days left to meet my goal. As of today, I've reach more than half of my initial goal ($100 out of $190) and I'm confidant I can raise more than $190 so I am changing my goal to $500! $500 can bring clean water to 25 people!
