I am turning 34 this year and I have decided to request something a little different for my special day. I am giving my birthday to charity: water and I hope that many people I know will contribute $34 (or more!) towards a water project in a developing country.
Charity: water has gained a lot of traction in the last 3 years. 100% of the donations go directly to funding projects, and they provide cool ways to follow where the money goes. In a bit of time, we will receive GPS coordinates and a photo of where the money will have been deployed!
So, this year no headache for anyone wishing to make me feel special. Just a few clicks, $34 and I will be very thankful!
