The dictionary defines LOVE as a noun, but we believe LOVE can also be a verb. Why are we here on earth? The closest we can come to an answer is simply this: TO LOVE.

You have come to this page because you are kind enough to LOVE us and look for ways to show that LOVE to us. We believe there is great power in sharing that LOVE. By showering us with your LOVE, we would like to shower others with that same generosity and LOVE.

Clean drinking water is a basic human need and 800 million people on the planet don't have access to it. Why Water? In Africa alone, people spend 40 billion hours every year walking for water. Women and children usually bear the burden of water collection, walking miles to the nearest source, which is unprotected and likely contaminated. Time spent walking and resulting diseases keep them from school, work and taking care of their families. Along their long walk, they're subjected to a greater risk of harassment and sexual assault. With safe water nearby, women are free to pursue new opportunities and improve their families’ lives. And this is one of very many reasons!

We believe that we can use our wedding as an opportunity to show LOVE by funding water projects in developing countries. We will have 125 guests at our wedding, and by donating $2500 we are able to provide clean water to 125 people who would otherwise not have access to it.

Your donation is tax deductible and 100% of every dollar we raise goes toward project costs. And when the projects are finished (about 18 months), charity: water will show us the exact communities they helped.
