Singapore is a blessed place where there is abundance of affluence and no natural disaster. The country is clean and efficient. Corruption is at a minimal and employment opportunities are aplenty. In contrast with many places on this planet, we live in garden paradise and we can share our blessings with the poor and destitute of this world by giving a little out of our comforts.

If you are staying in Singapore, you are in a much better position than millions of people around the world. Look not at our personal problems but count our daily blessings and we will be happier and become a better person for it.

The power is in the present. Decide to do something meaningful today and do it. It takes only a few minutes to sign up, donate a small some of money (US$20 would be good!) and join this group. Set a goal to share this project with a certain number of people every week until 31 Dec 2010 (that's 10 weeks if we start counting from 22 Oct) and commit to it. We can only do so little ourselves but together as a nation, we can do wonders!

Just 1 friend a week, and we can raise enough money for 2 clean water projects in 10 weeks! All you need to do is to arrange for a lunch date with a friend you intend to catch up with next week, spend 10 minutes of the time while waiting for food to be served to share about this project. It is a good cause and most of us can spare with US$20.
