Hi friends and family!

As most of you know, I spent the last year working in the beautiful country of Zambia where I got to work and laugh with amazing young women like those pictured above. During my time there, I noticed that almost exclusively, women and girls are responsible for collecting water - often taking them away from attending school or pursuing other professional opportunities.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty as most of us in the U.S. have plenty of water to drink. However, every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. 100% of the money raised for this birthday campaign will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

So please help me celebrate my 30th trip around the sun by helping bring clean water to those who need it most! Thank you!
