Why Guilherme cunha is fundraising for clean water

The 2014 World Cup will mark the first time that the tournament is staged successively in the Southern Hemisphere

The 2014 FIFA World Cup will mark the first time that the tournament is staged successively in the Southern Hemisphere (as the 2010 event was hosted in South Africa).
Three and a half billion is the estimated cost, in US dollars, of rebuilding or refurbishing the 12 stadiums which will be used during the 2014 World Cup.
Meanwhile, every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

As both Africans and Brazilians share the love for this sport, imagine if part of the enthusiasm and effort for hosting an event such as the FIFA world cup were drowned to help communities in Africa to have clear drinking water.

This fundraising campaign will help charity: water with projects around the world, mainly in Africa. 100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects.

Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.

Let's help our fellow African kids, such a "suckers for soccer" as we Brazilians are, to have a hope for a healthier future.
