800 million people don't have access to clean water. Let's fix that.

My birthday is almost here. A few of you may have been planning to get me a present - if so, please consider giving to charity:water instead. (Or in addition, if you're feeling generous!)
Many of you had no intention of getting me anything. That's cool too! Look at this as your chance to make good on that New Year's Resolution to be more charitable and give anyway.
Whatever your rationale, consider giving just 25 bucks. That's skipping one cup of coffee per week for only 2 months. And if 40 people do that, we've met my goal. I'm friends with 1300 people on Facebook (and at least a few more in real life). Only 3% of you need to donate to meet this goal. I'm positive that 1 out of 33 of you are willing to skip 1 cup of coffee per week for the next 2 months.
Of course, meeting this goal is only part of the way towards building a well or adding a sanitation system to a village. So give more! Or get your friends to give a little bit! Hell, I share a birthday with America. Give for America.
