As some of you might know my birthday is around the corner and this year I’ve decided to pledge my birthday and start my own charity: water campaign. I have been watching the guys at charity: water do an amazing work and I believe it's high time to get on the board and make a change in the world.

Fact

There are around 800 millions of people out there who are in need every single day. They lack clean drinking water, basic medical facilities, education, any kind of comfort and the list goes on. While some of us take all these things for granted, those kids in developing countries would be happy with only a small fraction of what we have access to and what we own.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families which is actually heavily contaminated, makes them sick and might even lead to death. Moreover, they have no chance to earn some extra income and complete their education which would help them to provide for their family. A heartbreaking fact is that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.

100% of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Moreover, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped and the impact we made.
