In my words, huh? I don't really know if I posses the ability to describe what this campaign can do. I'm a student at South Charleston High School. Just an average teenage girl. A friend of mine, Adam Richardson, started this project and I immediately jumped in to help all I could!
Millions of women and children walk miles, (Yes, PLURAL) each day to collect water for their families. Something we take for granted so much is another families struggle. And you know what's crazy? We're not so different. We are all members of the same planet. No more or less than anyone else. So this really got Adam thinking. What can we do to help?
We're raising money for these families and we've set our sights at 500$ for water projects. If our goal is reached, on June 1st Adam and I will swim approximately one mile: from the South Hills Bridge to Magic Island in the Kanawha River. Thinking of how most of the hard-earned water these families are working for isn't even clean, it makes the Kanawha river not sound so bad. 100% of ALL donations go directly to water projects. Anything will help. Seriously, ANYTHING. To donate either find a donate link on this page or contact me at hayersman@gmail.com or Adam Richardson!
