I cannot imagine not being able to drink clean water whenever I feel like it. I am lucky because I have it on tap, literally, but there are too many people in the world who don't have clean drinking water. How can I help to change this? Here's my plan:

I need to lose weight, so I am going to donate $25 for each pound I lose. I want to lose 20 lbs, which means that if I reach my goal, I will donate $500 so that 25 people have clean water for life. It isn't very many people, I know, but it is a start and like going on a diet, I must start somewhere. Here it is, February 2nd 2011 and I on my way to losing 20lbs and helping 25 people. That makes me feel good.

Each time you drink a glass of water, think of the children who are desperately thirsty for a sip of fresh, clean water. Think of them. Please.
