It is easy to get caught up in our own daily lives. For me, a college student, school takes up most of my time and can become stressful. In college, you are constantly thinking of your future and questioning if you will be successful. My parents tell me I must have a job so that I can support myself and live comfortably. They gave me an amazing opportunity to go to college and further my education. In America, it is very important to get a college education. It opens the doors to so many job opportunities. But, I am blessed to live like this. To be able to get an education, get a job, and earn money. Money so that I may buy all the coffee I want and the fancy dinners with friends and buy all the clothing I want. But life is more than all of that. Some people, never get this opportunity. Some people never get the opportunity to have extravagant things. Some people do not even get the simplest of things, like clean water.
Clean water is crucial for survival. Humans cannot go a week without water. People who do not have clean water must drink dirty water that could possibly have harmful bacteria in it. Imagine having to drink your own toilet water. Disgusting, right? Our toilet water is cleaner than some people's drinking water.
Over 4,100 kids are affected a day by this dirty drinking water. It can even become fatal.
For my birthday, I have decided to bring attention to this amazing charity and would like to ask for donations instead of gifts. I was blessed with a beautiful life and am forever grateful to my amazing parents. It is time for me to give back and help the ones who do not get the opportunities in life that I have.
Any amount will help, Thank you so much.
Happy birthday !! I'm so proud of you and everything you do. You're the most selfless person I know and you always motivate me to do my best. Much love
