I am super lucky and received a full tuition scholarship for my master's in Ethical Leadership. Thank you Claremont Lincoln University! To celebrate my graduation, I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water with clean water projects around the world.
These projects include solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities, and stop the long, often dangerous, daily, journeys to obtain clean water. Woman and girls spend 200 million hours a day (!) collecting water.
Children who spend much of the day collecting water can't attend school very often, and sometimes are not able to at all.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help!
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Thank you very much!
Congratulations Hilary! We are glad to contribute to this wonderful cause.
“Just imagine: 200 million hours is 8.3 million days, or over 22,800 years,” said UNICEF’s global head of water, sanitation and hygiene Sanjay Wijesekera. “It would be as if a woman started with her empty bucket in the Stone Age and didn’t arrive home with water until 2016. Think how much the world has advanced in that time. Think how much women could have achieved in that time.”
