I am turning 30! (WOOO-HOOO)
My, what an awesome adventure so far?!?!
I can not believe how much LOVE is in my life, how LUCKY I am; or how incredibly GRATEFUL I am for each of you and our shared connection- which make my life so rich in so many ways.
I have been asked so many times this year by those of you who bring light and love to my life- what I would like for my birthday. So finally, I put some thought into the topic and as it turns out; I have all that I could want for- a great career that I LOVE; FRIENDS that I could not imagine my life without and a great big FAMILY I love more than words could ever express. Not to even mention calling the beautiful Florida Keys home- and all of the wonderful places I've been able to visit and live.
So then I thought; instead of more things what I would love for this special birthday is for us with so much- to come together and show solidarity as man with those who have so little. Let us give to those who not only have significant wants but also NEEDS!
Clean water shouldn't be hard to come by. It breaks my heart that it is.
It shouldn't keep communities from thriving. Yet it does.
It should not contribute to the death of vulnerable populations. Many die every day because of it- all across the globe; no nation is untouched by the dramatic effects of water or the lack of it.
It certainly should not keep girls from a quality education.
In 2018; it is.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
